I use a Netscape browser, and when I used your program everything was fine until I tried to print my return. My return shows up in Adobe Reader OK, but nothing happens when I try to print it. What am I doing wrong?

With Adobe Reader 6, you may experience some difficulty either seeing your return within the Adobe window, or printing your return as displayed on your screen.

In the first case, the printout does not display within the Adobe window - you may need to configure Adobe Reader as a helper application:

  1. Start Adobe Reader.
  2. Choose Edit, Preferences.
  3. Select Internet from the column on the left.
  4. Deselect Display PDF in Browser in the Web Browser Options, and then click OK.

If your return displays OK on your screen in the Adobe window, but does not print, or only prints a blank page or two:

  • Adobe Reader is not translating fonts and commands through Netscape properly.
  • The workaround, is to save the *.PDF file locally, and print it outside of our program.

To download an open PDF file:

  1. Choose File > Save As, or click Save a Copy in the Reader toolbar in the browser window.
  2. In the Save As dialog box, select a location on the hard disk, and then click Save.

To Print:

  1. Locate your print file (file name will be something like "AAA000000111A (13 alphanumeric characters).PDF"
  2. Double click on the file, and it should open, and print with no problem, in Adobe Reader.
